Mission
The Roanoke Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to support the City of Roanoke’s Parks and Recreation Department by raising funds, accepting gifts and providing other resources to enhance existing programs, services, facilities and technology. We do this by working with donors, volunteers, and leaders in our community who want to help us improve the quality of life for all Roanoke residents and visitors.

Did you know that less than 2% of the City of Roanoke budget goes towards your Parks and Recreation Department? With over 100,000 residents, the individual contribution comes out to $60/year, or only $5/month. Cities across the country our size, with similar amenities, traditionally see roughly 6% of the jurisdiction’s budget. As it stands, your parks are not getting the support they need to be sustainable. With that in mind,
What would you pay for your parks?
