Pints for Parks
Every Monday and Tuesday in July: Our buddies at Starr Hill Roanoke have partnered with us again! Every Monday and Tuesday throughout the month of July, Starr Hill will donate $1 from every beer sold in their brewery! This month, grab a tasty Starr Hill bev and toast to a good cause!
Independence Eve Fireworks Show
7/3 at River’s Edge, 9 PM: We are doing the fireworks show a day early this year so that emergency first responders and public safety officers can enjoy July 4th with their families, but there are plenty of other shows on the 4th to extend the firework fun. The display will take place at River’s Edge North, but won’t be a large event like in the past. Click here to learn about the details of the night.
Park After Dark Movie: The Goonies
7/9 at Countryside Park, 8 PM: glow-in-the-dark badminton, lawn games, Scoop the Ice Cream Truck, and The Goonies on the inflatable screen!
Parks Party in the Can Garden
7/9 to 7/11 at Starr Hill Roanoke: All weekend long, head to Starr Hill to experience their can garden AND $1 from each beer sold goes back to PLAY Roanoke. What better way to check out the can garden than with a Hyrdroflask Can Koozie? Here’s how you can win one: the first 10 people each day (Friday through Sunday) who get there manually (bike, float, paddle, run, walk, skate), get the hook-up! See you then!
Summer Floatilla & Starr Hill After Party
7/11 at Roanoke Mountain Adventures/Starr Hill, 1 PM: Starting at Roanoke Mountain Adventures, we’ll float the Roanoke River together! Once we reach The Bridges kayak launch, we’ll hop out and walk to Starr Hill to hang out in the Can Garden. For every beer sold that weekend, $1 goes back to PLAY Roanoke. The float is free. Need a tube? You can reserve one at Roanoke Mountain Adventures.
Free Yoga in the Park
7/17 at Elmwood Park, 11:15 AM: Bring a mat and enjoy a yoga sesh on us!
