Make sure you’re checking your mailboxes, folks; there’s a chance you were one of the random City residents chosen to complete our Reimagine Recreation statistically valid survey! This survey asks questions about what residents would like to see from their recreation center and pool facilities, how they should be maintained, and how they’d like to see these changes happen.
Roanoke Parks and Recreation’s Reimagine Recreation campaign focuses on the outdated recreation centers and pool facilities in the City. The newest of these was built in the 70s, and our residents need and deserve 21st-century facilities. In March and April, the Department hosted community and stakeholder input meetings to reimagine what these spaces could be. Through those meetings, we narrowed down what the community valued and created a survey to help us fine tune the plan.
A random selection of residents will receive this mailed survey, and the Department asks that if you receive one, please complete it and send it back. We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible and even included a paid-postage envelope to send the survey back. If you don’t receive one of these surveys in the mail, don’t worry; we’ll be opening up the same survey online in July for anyone to give their feedback.
