Outdoor Photography: Night Sky Take 2
After the success of our first Night Sky Photography workshop. We’ve decided to do it again. On the night of December 13th, into the morning of December 14th, the Geminid Meteor Shower will peak. The shower can produce 130 to 140 meteors per hour on a clear sky. The meteor shower’s radiant is located in the constellation Gemini, which rises around sunset. Geminid meteors are bright and intensely colored. We will be returning to James River State Parks an International Dark Sky Site to view and photograph this celestial event.
Grab your camera, tripod, and your warmest clothes, and spend the night with Parks & Rec Staff and a professional photographer, who will coach you on how to photograph the night sky.
Registration covers park entrance and camping fees, professional instruction, and transportation to event location. Snacks and warm beverages including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided to all participants
