Roanoke Parks and Recreation will be serving meals at no charge to children 18 and under as a part of the USDA Summer Food
Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Meals will be provided Monday-Friday; however, please note there will be no meal service on July 5 (in observance of Independence Day).
Meals will be available at the sites and times as follows. They will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis in a take-it-and-go method; no meals will be consumed on site:
- Indian Rock Village (2034 Indian Village Lane): June 21-August 13, 2021, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Jamestown Place (1533 Pike Lane): June 21-August 13, 2021, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Bluestone Park (2617 Bluestone Ave.): June 21-August 13, 2021. 12:00-1:00 pm
- Landsdowne Park (2624 Salem Turnpike): June 21-August 13, 2021, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Hunt Manor (802 Hunt Ave., NW): June 21-August 13, 2021, 12:00 -1:00 pm
In addition, meals will be served at the following closed enrolled sites; meal service at these sites is limited to children enrolled in the program:
- Apple Ridge (Rt. 796, Copper Hill Rd) : June 21-July 30, 2021, 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Eureka Recreation Center (1529 Carroll Ave.): June 21-August 13, 2021, 8:00-8:30 am,12:00-1:00 pm
- Grandin Court Recreation Center (2621 Barham Rd.): June 21-August 13, 2021, 8:00-8:30 am, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Preston Park Recreation Center (3137 Preston Ave.): June 21-August 13, 2021, 8:00-8:30 am, 12:00-1:00 pm
