The Roanoke Urban Forestry staff and advisory committee are currently revising the 2003 Urban Forestry Plan. This study was initiated when it became apparent that Roanoke was losing many of the trees that make it a desirable place to live. This plan was developed to serve as a guide for the City’s efforts to manage its urban forest to the maximum benefit of its residents, its environment, and its economy.
In order to revise and update this plan for
future, the Urban Forestry division is asking for public input regarding the current plan. Please take a moment to fill out this short survey regarding trees in our city. The feedback from this survey will help the committee develop recommendations for a new Urban Forestry Plan.If you have any questions regarding the plan, survey, or urban forestry division, please contact the urban forester, Bill West, at 540-853-1994 or William.West@roanokeva.gov.
